Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation recently installed its API Inject-Aire burner at Stapleton Houses for the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). Likely the first to comply with New York City Local Law 87, an energy-efficiency mandate, the product has decreased nitrogen oxides emissions, reducing the organization’s overall carbon footprint.
In addition to environmental benefits, the API Inject-Aire burner has already begun saving money by reducing fuel and electricity consumption by as much as 85 percent. Further savings come from the fact that the machine, because of its increased efficiency, will require less-frequent maintenance and enjoy greater longevity. In fact, the Preferred Utilities product operates at less than half the cycling rate of similar burner models.
