ASHRAE Opens Dubai Training Facility

David Bohn

For more than two decades, David Bohn of Redding, CT, has served as president of Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation, where he has worked to make the company more efficient in its manufacturing and inventory practices, among other duties. Actively engaged in his industry outside of his day-to-day work in Redding, CT, David Bohn is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

Last September, ASHRAE commemorated the launch of its Global Training Center in Dubai by holding a ribbon-cutting event and reception. The facility will serve as a training hub for ASHRAE members and other industrial systems professionals in the Persian Gulf area and surrounding regions.
One of its primary functions will be to make sure that these individuals have regular, consistent access to training curriculum tailored to the unique challenges that building systems workers face in this part of the world. In his comments, ASHRAE President Bjarne W. Olesen, PhD, said that his organization selected Dubai as the obvious location for its training center as it expands its services to professionals in the Middle East and looks forward to the positive impact the center will have.
