In 2016, David Bohn and Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation of greater Redding, CT, became members of the Council of Industrial Boiler Owners (CIBO). As members, Redding, CT's David Bohn and the Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation support the organization's efforts to provide quality energy to non-utility clients.

The annual meeting of the Council of Industrial Boiler Owners (CIBO) has facilitated the exchange of ideas among equipment engineers, manufacturers, and owners for nearly 40 years. The 39th meeting is scheduled for October 18-20 at the Ponte Vedra Resort in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
At the CIBO annual meeting, members and their guests gather to discuss environmental and energy regulations and legislation, and their impact on business. Attendees focus on those issues that are likely to become particularly salient in the coming year, with an eye toward how legislative decisions have shaped and will continue to shape the industry.
These conferences underscore the vital nature of energy and the resultant importance of the connection between legislation and the cost of energy. By advocating for cost-effective laws, attendees strive to integrate government and industry to the benefit of all interested parties.
